Aladdin from Arabian Nights

- Aladdin is a character from the folk tale Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp. The tale is most famously part of One Thousand and One Nights, also known as Arabian Nights. However, it was not originally part of the collection. It was added in the 18th century by the French scholar Antoine Galland, who heard the story from the Syrian storyteller Hanna Diyab.
